Listening Session for the National Biotechnology and Biomanufacturing Initiative

The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy is hosting a listening session on the National Biotechnology and Biomanufacturing Initiative, which was launched through Executive Order 14081. We are interested to hear comments from the public on the topics outlined in the Request for Information that was released on December 20, 2022.

Input on the following topics is welcomed:
• Harnessing biotechnology and biomanufacturing R&D to further societal goals
• Data for the bioeconomy
• Building a vibrant domestic biomanufacturing ecosystem
• Biobased products procurement
• Biotechnology and biomanufacturing workforce
• Advancing biosafety and biosecurity
• Measuring the bioeconomy
• International engagement

This virtual listening session is open to the public, and registration is required to attend. If you wish to speak at the virtual listening session, please indicate this below. Due to time constraints, comments should be limited to two minutes, and OSTP may not be able to hear from all interested parties.

Written materials, comments, or questions can be directed by email to biotech@ostp.eop.gov. By participating in this Listening Session you acknowledge the possibility that information shared in this venue could be made public. The meeting will be recorded. Participation in this session implies consent for OSTP to capture your name, voice, and likeness, and anything you say may be recorded and transcribed for future use.
